5 out of 4 Patterns Rosanna Peplum and Dress

5 out of 4 Patterns has a new release that is amazing! It's the Rosanna Tank, Tankini, Dress, and Swim Dress. You can make it for swimming or for casual wear.

The first Rosanna I made was with this Ocean Stripe swim knit from Zenith & Quasar fabric.

This swim knit is great and only $4 a yard! The stripes are navy and aqua and I loved playing with them going in different directions.

I made the half circle skirt, peplum length on all the Rosanna's that I made. What I really love is the low scoop back that allows you to add straps - if you want to.

I needed to make some adjustments to the pattern based on my height, and made another one.

This one is also made with fabric from Zenith & Quasar. I used Diatoms on Athletic Brushed Poly and Purple Supplex. This one will be for casual wear this summer.

I love that the Rosanna has princess seams. The side panels are great for adding a bit of solid color with my print. The Rosanna also has the option for a built in shelf bra - which I added to all the ones I made.

I had a lot of fun with the straps on the back.  I attempted to replicate the radial pattern of the diatoms.

I made one more during testing in more Zenith & Quasar Fabric and some Made Whimsy Fabric.

This one is made with a geometric pattern Yoga Swim Spandex (YSS) from Zenith & Quasar and Fuchsia Nylon Spandex Swim from Made Whimsy.

I paired this Rosanna and the first one with a pair of RTW navy swim bottoms from Lands End. The Ultimate Bikini Bottoms, Tidal Wave Swim Shorts, and Riptide shorts are also on sale. I love that the peplum length gives me a bit of coverage without making me look like I'm bottomless. I did not take any length out of the peplum, I did remove length from the bodice for my height.

Since this print was geometric with all these triangles, I decided to make triangles with my straps. I think it turned out really cool!

I had so much fun making the Rosanna and playing around with making cool designs with my straps. I've already made another Rosanna  - not pictured here as I modified it to have a higher back. I will definitely be making a few more of these for the hot Texas summer. They are also going to be great to take on my cruise in a few months.
