Zenith & Quasar Constellations

Are you tired of my Zenith & Quasar reprint posts yet? I hope not - I have a few more possibly planned. It depends on how well my move goes...

This is the Constellations print. This print was the first ever strike off I did for Zenith & Quasar! Below is a photo of the back of the top I made February 2015!

No photo description available.

And here is the Greenstyle Creations Lille Racerback Tank I made May 2019!

The Lille Racerback Tank is great for working out in or for casual wear. I used a white supplex for the bands.

I did not wear a racerback bra for my photos - so no photos of the back.

I have also made leggings with this Constellations print before. I probably made these in 2017.

As you can see from the photos above, the more recent print of the Constellations is slightly more purple.

I love it regardless of the color. Be sure to check out all the prints at preorder through June 29th! Check them out at https://www.zenithandquasar.com/product-category/preorder-r34-reprints/

Zenith & Quasar Butterflies

I have already shown this top before, but now that this Butterfly print is at Preorder at Zenith & Quasar, I decided to show it off again.

I used the Sinclair Patterns Shelby Tunic. It's one of my favorite patterns. I love that it comes in petite sizing and that it's a loose fit and covers my behind.

These Butterflies are just gorgeous and I love the subtle watercolor background. My Grandmother loved butterflies and I think of her everytime I wear this top.

I love the athletic brushed poly from Zenith & Quasar. It's the perfect fabric year round, but I love how it keeps me cool & dry in the Texas heat. It wicks away moisture so fast leaving me dry and cool.

The preorder also has Yoga Swim Spandex (YSS) as an option and I love it as well. The preorder closes on June 29th! See all the prints at preorder at https://www.zenithandquasar.com/product-category/preorder-r34-reprints/

Zenith & Quasar Plaid Hybrid Knit

I'll give you a break from my Zenith & Quasar Reprint posts to show you a "new" fabric that is at preorder. As I write this - there are only 2 yards left! Hybrid Athletic Knit in PLAID!

I've posted about my undying love for the Hybrid Athletic Knit before. I've made an amazing Hoodie with it and Pants.

The Hybrid Athletic Knit feel like supplex, is a heavy weight (250 gsm) and it's only $10 per yard (at preorder)!

So when Lilly showed me this fun plaid - I HAD TO HAVE IT! She sent me a sample of it and I sewed it up before I packed up my sewing room. I've been so busy packing, that I have not had time to blog about it.

I am closing on my "new" home today and will be moving in very soon. I can't wait to get my new sewing space set up and to be back to creating.

I made the Sinclair Patterns Bianca Shrug with my sample yard and ordered 2 more yards to make a coordinating dress. I think this will be perfect to wear to the office.

The Hybrid Athletic Knit is available in this cool plaid and in Berry Pink, Electric Purple, and Grass Green. My Hoodie I made below is the Grass Green. It is lined with the Secret Garden print - which happens to be at preorder.

Here are my pants I made with the Grass Green Hybrid Athletic Knit. They were a test of a pair of pants. They ended up a bit too roomy in the crotch on my first go - hence all that bagginess. I still wear these pants a lot though as they are so comfortable. I really need to sit down and seam rip them, fix them, and put them back together.

You can't go wrong with the Hybrid Athletic Knit. At $10 a yard it is a bargain. It's a great weight for leggings, pants, jackets, and I think it will be amazing as a dress, It's too heavy for a loose fit top, but would be great for a fitted top or even a sports bra. It's at preorder through the end of the month.

Zenith & Quasar Hello World

I love the Hello World print from Zenith & Quasar Fabric! It's one of the 24 designs in the Reprint Round at peorder through June 29th.

This print features the code to display "hello world" in multiple programming languages. My cousin is a programmer and I decided to make her a Sinclair Patterns Bianca Shrug with some Hello World from my stash. I figured it was better to sew it up than to pack it up.

Here's a close look at the design.

So, I tried to write down all the different programming languages on the print - here is my list: HTML, BASIC, Python, Java, Purl, Ruby, Turing, Fortran, C#, ALGOL, and Logo. I might have missed some.

I really struggled with picking a fabric for the bands on this Bianca Shrug. Initially I wanted to use a stripe, but didn't want to worry about matching stripes. In my mind it would be really obvious if I did not get them perfect.

I then decided to use some white supplex. After I cut out the bands, I decided the white supplex was just too white against this print. I used the white supplex for the back side of the bands and cut the right side bands from the Hello World print.

I really think this was the perfect option. I really hope my cousin loves the shrug.

Be sure to check out all the great prints in the reprint round.

Zenith & Quasar Sketchy Mushrooms

I'm busy packing to move, but needed to show you another great print at Preorder at Zenith & Quasar. This is Sketchy Mushrooms.

I made the Itch to Stitch Isidro Top with my yard of Sketchy Mushrooms.

It goes perfectly with my Zenith & Quasar Brown Heavy Supplex Designer Stitch Harper Pants.

There are a lot of little details in this print that are so hard to see in photos. The mushrooms are sketches with handwriting. I really love the gathered neckline of the Isidro Top. I did a rolled hem on my sleeves and the shirt hem.

The background is almost white. It's not quite cream, but has a slight tint to it. The mushrooms are shades of brown with some reddish shades as well.

Preorder closes June 29th! See all the prints and order at https://www.zenithandquasar.com/product-category/preorder-r34-reprints/
