It's time to say so long to summer. I love summer, but living in Texas, by the time September rolls around I am ready. The days of 100 degree temps take their toll on me as August comes to an end. But they often don't stop until we are a week or two into September. We don't get super cold here and I don't make many items that are truly wintery. To get me through Fall (and most of winter) I sew up lots of 3/4 length sleeve tops and pants made with heavier stretch wovens.

In preparation for fall, I made a Love Notions Margot Peplum and Sabrina Slims. I really love these two patterns and had not made them in some time. I felt like it was a great time to dust them off for some new pieces  to add to my wardrobe. The Margot Peplum has so many options - two bodices, three skirts, and 4 sleeve options. The Sabrina Slims are also versatile as you can use a stable knit or a stretch woven. They also have two different styles.

I have had this Art Gallery Fabrics Splendiferous Knit in my stash for a few years. I'm not a floral person, but was drawn to the colors and there was something about the pattern that caught my eye. I also purchased this design in the Art Gallery Cotton Woven - it is still sitting in  my stash as well.

I loved that the colors are a mix of autumnal colors (mustard, rust, and shades of taupe) and spring colors (fuschia, soft pink, and mint). I made the solid bodice version of the Margot Peplum to prevent breaking up the design with the princess seams. I also used the swing skirt for my peplum along with the 3/4 length sleeves. I will be able to wear this from now until May.

I made the Sabina Slims last year with some cheap fabric to check fit and have had good intentions to make some with my "good" fabric. I had a stretch twill in my stash that I bought at the Dallas Fabric District that happened to match the denim blue color in the Splendiferous print really well. It also had the required 30% stretch for using a woven with the Sabrina Slims.

This outfit has me ready to embrace the fall season while also adding a few year round pieces to my wardrobe.

  3. Also, try to use a new comb, so your hair does not get contaminated from old THC traces. Lastly, try not to be around people smoking any kind of drugs before your test. The hair follicle test has progressively gained recognition through the years since it can detect drug remnants, even if you consumed the drug months ago. A hair test aids in determining if the candidate has used drugs or misused their prescription through their hair follicle sample. It can check the occurrence of certain drugs, including marijuana and other stimulants. Let’s discuss how metabolites from marijuana reach the hair first. As metabolites course through the blood, they stick to the tissues and cells around the hair follicle and down each strand. The lab technicians collect around a hundred grams of hair strands, which comes out to be 90 to 120 hair strands in total, and then your sample undergoes testing. If you are not an illicit drug consumer or haven't engaged with marijuana in the past 90 days, your results should come out negative. Coffee also contains natural antioxidants that aid in the detoxification of the body. A large amount of espresso, together with water and electrolytes, will aid to open the floodgates. Make sure you take B-vitamin supplements along with your coffee to help cleanse your body faster. When it comes to passing drug tests after weed use, this juice is another popular detox remedy. After all, it’s inexpensive, delicious, and readily available at any time. Alternative doctors and naturopaths have recommended cranberry juice for general cleansing. A blend of cranberry juice and water is said to flush toxins from the kidneys, lymphatic system, and intestines in as little as one week.
