Ellie & Mac Be Adventurous Tunic

I made the Ellie & Mac Be Adventurous Tunic not too long ago in a sweater knit with a cowl and it immediately became one of my favorite tops. I'm really loving all the tops & tunics with a ruffled hem lately and will have a blog post comparing a few on the Ellie & Mac website on January 21st!  But I want to talk about each of them on their own too.

I'm 5' tall. I removed 2" from the bodice.

The bodice is loose fitting so it can swing freely. The ruffle in the back should start at the top of your behind to hang properly. If it's too low - it will not look right.

The Be Adventurous is considered a tunic, but I'd classify it more as a long top. I feel like a tunic should be able to be worn over leggings without exposing any of the crotch. The Be Adventurous just barely covers my crotch.

I do think it is perfect for wearing with skinny jeans or dress pants.

The Be Adventurous Tunic is very comfortable and it has many options. The first version I made was with sweater knit and with a cowl.

The fabric for my top is Gold Mustard Double Brushed Poly provided generously by Sly Fox Fabrics.

All patterns are on sale for 40% off at Ellie & Mac the entire month of January.
