Ellie & Mac Memphis Top

I made the Ellie & Mac Memphis Top for the first time several months ago. I used cotton lycra for the bodice and it just did not look good on me. I gave it to my mom and she loved it. I've been wanting to make another and finally did. This time I used double brushed poly that was generously provided by Sly Fox Fabrics.

Double Brushed Poly is perfect for the Memphis Top.  The bottom of the back bodice is curved similar to the front, but when worn, it appears to be straight.

I'm 5' tall and made a few small adjustments to the pattern for my height - I removed 1.5" from the bodice and 1" from the skirt length,

This length is perfect to wear with jeans or dress pants. I could probably get away wearing them with leggings, but would ass a few inches to the pattern if I was making the Memphis Top to solely wear with leggings.

The cut of the bodice creates a nice high low hemline. The bodice is only slightly fitted.

Fabric is Royal Purple Double Brushed Poly generously provided by Sly Fox Fabrics.

All Ellie & Mac patterns are 40% off for the month of January.
