George + Ginger Rival Dress Shirt Hack

The featured pattern for February at George + Ginger is the Rival Dress. It's on sale for the month of February for $6.75. I'm not a fan of dresses, so I decided to make a Rival Shirt!

I'm 5' tall and removed 5" off the bottom of the pattern pieces. I omitted the bottom band and just hemmed my Rival shirt.

I used athletic brushed poly from Zenith & Quasar. I used Cosmic Craters for the back and front side panels. This print is currently at preorder through February 15th.

I am loving the fit of the Rival as a shirt.

The front and sleeves are an Apollo 11 Code. This print is also at preorder, but the scale offered is smaller than mine.

Here's a closer look at the Apollo 11 Code. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.

The Rival dress has a lot of options - a hood, cowl, side pockets, and long sleeves. Grab it before the end of February for 25% off.

Zenith & Quasar Round 30 Preorder

Zenith & Quasar has some amazing NASA Posters at preorder along with 2 beautiful coordinates.

No photo description available.

When Lilly asked me which panel I wanted to sew to promote, I had such a hard time deciding as I love them all, but finally decided on the Earth panel. It's been my favorite since it was first offered a few years ago.

I'm so ready for spring to get here and decided I should make a short sleeved top to get me ready for the warmer weather to come.

I made the Patterns for Pirates Sweet Tee.

Here's a closer look at the panel. I was watching Io on Netflix the other day and noticed this poster in the background of some of the scenes.

I love that the adult panels come as a full yard. This allows me enough fabric for the front and back of a top.

I used a cotton lycra for the sleeves and the neckband. It's a herringbone print from Wonderground. This color is out of stock, but there are other colors available.

The Zenith & Quasar preorder closes Tomorrow - January 26! Order soon!

Ellie & Mac Women's Good Sport Tank

It's Wacky Wednesday at Ellie & Mac. This morning when I saw the Wacky Wednesday patterns on sale, I decided to grab the Women's Good Sport Tank. I've been working out daily on my elliptical (today is 55 days in a row!) and thought I could use a cute workout top to motivate me.

Well, I noticed that the armholes are designed to be lower - I'm guessing for a "sporty" look. I decided to raise them up as I'm not fond of the sport bra peekage on the sides.

I should have left the armholes alone! Now it pulls funny. Please ignore the fact that I'm wearing just a normal white bra under it.

Even though my Good Sport Tank isn't perfect, I'll still wear it proudly as I get my elliptical workouts in. I used athletic brushed poly fabrics from Zenith & Quasar for my tank.
