I'm participating in yet another blog tour for Everything Your Mama Made. This time it is for the Capsule skirt. I made a capsule skirt during the first blog tour I did for the Kymy Dolman top - but you never saw it because it ended up way too big. I made the next size smaller - and it's still a little too big, but this one is at least wearable.

The capsule skirt is a very quick sew. You could easily make one from printing to wearing in 2 hours or less. It has cutting lines for low rise (perfect for maternity), a longer back cutting line (for people like me with big behinds - the longer length prevents the skirt from appearing higher in the back), and a normal cutting line that would be suitable for most. There are 2 variations to the knit waist band - regular or foldover. I just did the normal band.

The fabric I used is some very drape-y, yet very heavy, and very stretchy knit I purchased for $1/yard at Golden D'or's inventory sale many years ago. Somewhere in my closet is a top made with this fabric. I love the bright colors and floral print and thought it would make an excellent skirt for Spring and Summer.
