The Dublin Dolman from New Horizons just got an update! If you already bought it previously, just download it from your account to get the update. If you haven't bought it, it's on sale! May 2 is the LAST day of the sale! I was out of town this weekend when it released and this is my first chance to blog about it.
This is the long sleeve version which will now sit in my closet until fall. The fit of the update is slimmer than the original.
There are many hem versions and top lengths. I made the shirt length in the curved hem. You hem the curve on the front and back pieces before you sew the side seams. This ensures a smooth and even curve on both sides.
I wanted to show you a close up of my fabric. I bought it at Fabrictopia in the Dallas Fabric District. The shop had multiple remnants and there were various patterns all with these same colors. I chose two different designs and love how they mesh together in this top.
In testing the update, I made this version. The pattern was altered from this version - but it was too cute not to share. The Texas Bluebonnet print is from EBS fabrics. I used a jegging knit from Zenith & Quasar for the upper back, sleeves and neck band.
The gathered back option is so fun and gives a bit more ease to the top.
The pattern is on sale for $7 through May 2. Buy it at New Horizons.
