Simply by Ti Fabrics - Making Pants!

At the beginning of the year, I had decided that I needed to make a point to sew more bottoms. Specifically - I needed more pants. More specifically, pants suitable for work in the office.

In January I decided to get some stretch twill and french terry from Simply by Ti to make some pants. I ordered 1 yard cuts and asked if I could get a generous cut yard. I'm short at 5' tall, and can typically get full length pants out of a yard of fabric. Since I wasn't sure how much the stretch twill or french terry would shrink - I asked Tibeca to please cut me a generous yard - and she did!

Shown here is an olive stretch twill. This color is no longer available, but there are other colors in stock HERE.

I made the Stitch Upon a Time Goldilegs. I love this pattern for a pull on pant with a skinny or bootcut leg. I did the skinny legs.

I use my coverstitch to topstitch the side seam of the legs. I feel like this give a nice finish.

I also made a pair of Stitch Upon a Time Goldilegs in Navy Stretch Twill.

I made the legs on these slightly wider.

I also needed some casual pants for when I work from home and on the weekends. I picked the Olive French Terry for a pair of New Horizons Portlander Pants.

I also made the New Horizons Portlander Pants in Navy French Terry.

I'm wearing Earth shoes in my photos. They are pretty much the only brand of shoes I wear. They are insanely comfortable and I especially love the Kalso Earth line with negative heels. If you have feet, knee, or hip problems these are wonderful. My doctor recommended them to me several years ago and they have been a lifesaver as I deal with the pain of rheumatoid arthritis.

My top is the Halla Patterns Agnes made with Bluebonnet Lane border print from EBS Fabrics.

Simply by Ti will be closing shop temporarily this summer as Tibeca welcomes home her new baby. Be sure to check out her shop and stock up now. Her prices are great and her fabrics are a fabulous quality. I'm so happy I finally got these pants finished for Me Made May! I'll be wearing them a bunch this month, and for many months to come. Now, I need to make some pants that are not Navy or Olive.
